TIMER,
METER, OR SE (SIMPLE ELECTRONICS) OPTIONS - WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
Timer Control
Valves regenerate or recharge the water softener like an alarm
clock. You set the day and it will regenerate. You
can choose every day, every other day, every three days, etc.
Metered Control
Valves regenerate or recharge only when you use a certain amount
of water. This allows you to be more efficient and not
waste water. This is what we recommend for most homeowner
units.
Metered SE
Control Valves regenerate or recharge only when you use a
certain amount of water. The main differences between a
basic metered control valve and the SE valve are:
1. Days
Override: If you do not use enough water in a certain
amount of days the unit will regenerate - This keeps the beds in
good shape
2. Ease of
programming - you can program your water softener to backwash
longer, rinse longer, and increase the brine / rinse on the
unit. This is great for water that requires more thorough
cleaning.
