24K=24,000 Grain System  = will soften approximately 1200-2400 gallons of soft water at 10 - 20 grains of hardness before needing to regenerate with salt

32K=32,000 Grain System  = will soften approximately 1600-3200 gallons of soft water at 10 - 20 grains of hardness before needing to regenerate with salt

40K=40,000 Grain System  = will soften approximately 2000-4000 gallons of soft water at 10 - 20 grains of hardness before needing to regenerate with salt

48K=48,000 Grain System  = will soften approximately 2400-4800 gallons of soft water at 10 - 20 grains of hardness before needing to regenerate with salt

WHAT IS A TWIN ALTERNATING SYSTEM?

The twin alternating system provides 24 hour soft water.  This is critical for applications with extremely hard water or constant soft water is essential.  We recommend these systems for problem water, large reverse osmosis pre-treatment, boiler treatment, 24 hour restaurants, and cooling tower treatment.  This water softener will regenerate with soft water and will only switch tanks when a certain amount of water is used.  These are extremely efficient units.
