Poly-4® Corrosion Control & Sequestrant Powder

Prevents corrosion and mineral staining. Pro Poly 4 sequesters iron and manganese to reduce or eliminate iron staining in potable water, irrigation systems and other areas where unsightly iron staining is to be prevented. The proprietary solution holds the minerals in solution, creating clear water, free from iron or mineral staining. Poly 4 also prevents corrosion of the water system by lightly coating pipes and fittings and reduces copper leaching.

Applications

Mixing: Poly 4 should be dissolved at a rate of 1 pound (1.5 cups) per 5 gallons of water. The solution should be held in a solution tank and injected into the water system.

Corrosion Control: Poly 4 is applied through a chemical feed pump downline from the well pump. Poly 4 is normally fed at a rate of 1 pound per 40,000 gallons of water. The feed rate should increase to 1 pound per 20,000 gallons in above normal iron and corrosion water supplies. Follow the procedure for injecting Poly 4 solution into the water system as specified by the chemical feed pump manufacturer or supplier.
